Vietnam Expands Local Gaming Pilot Program to Include the Grand Ho Tram, Further Boosts Tourism Growth Through Responsible Entertainment
Ho Chi Minh City, November 27, 2025 – The Grand Ho Tram, one of Vietnam’s leading integrated resorts, has been included by the Government of Vietnam in the expanded five-year pilot program that allows eligible Vietnamese citizens to participate in regulated gaming activities under strict supervision.
Supporting Vietnam’s Responsible Tourism Vision
This marks an important step in the government’s ongoing efforts to modernize the tourism sector and strengthen regulatory oversight over gaming activities, while promoting economic growth and responsible entertainment.
Under the pilot framework, The Grand Ho Tram will operate under strict government supervision and implement comprehensive safeguards to ensure safe and transparent participation. These include government-mandated entry controls, responsible gaming programs, and social protection measures aligned with the principles of responsible entertainment.
“We are honored to contribute, in a small way, to the Government of Vietnam’s vision for sustainable economic prosperity through a responsibly managed entertainment and tourism sector,” said Walt Power, Chief Executive Officer of The Grand Ho Tram.
“This pilot program provides an opportunity to demonstrate how integrated resorts can contribute to national tourism development, local employment, and economic growth while maintaining strict compliance, transparency, and integrity.”
Contributing to Vietnam’s Economic and Social Development
Since its opening in 2013, The Grand Ho Tram has played a significant role in contributing to both the local and national economy. Over the past decade, the resort has generated more than 2,000 direct jobs and created thousands of additional employment opportunities through its extensive network of local suppliers, contractors, and service providers. With more than US$1 billion invested, the project continues to expand, introducing world-class hotels, luxury villas, and a premier convention center.
A Commitment to Responsible Gaming
The Grand Ho Tram will continue to execute its industry standard Responsible Gaming Framework, modeled on leading international jurisdictions such as Singapore and Macau. This framework encompasses the establishment of on-site Responsible Gaming Information Centers that provide educational resources and assistance to guests, along with extensive employee training programs designed to identify and support at-risk behaviors. It also includes voluntary self-exclusion mechanisms, enabling players to limit or suspend their participation, and public education initiatives developed in collaboration with local communities to promote awareness and responsible play.
“Responsible gaming is central to our operations,” said Walt Power. “We aim to ensure every guest enjoys entertainment in a safe, transparent, and socially responsible environment. By aligning our standards with international best practices, we are proud to contribute positively to the responsible development of Vietnam’s tourism and leisure industries.”
